Wonderful place close to nature. Delicious, Healthy breakfast. Christa is a star. The listing said wifi but it was not functional in Kernelia for most of our stay. T The wonderful bird life soothed our pain of not video chatting with our grand children overseas.

This spot is absolutely GORGEOUS, we were completely in awe as we arrived during sunset and woke up to the first light touching the tips of the mountains, truly blown away by the beauty of this little gem of a place. The dam was extremely beautiful and refreshing to swim in even in the middle of winter! We will definitely be returning!

From the perfectly appointed interiors to the deeply comfortable beds, every element has been designed with the guest’s best experience in mind. Adding to the magic is Heleen’s stunning calligraphy, which is woven throughout the house. It’s more than just decoration—it’s a true labour of love, an artistic touch that deepens the already enchanting atmosphere of Die Letterhuis. The setting is pure magic—an oasis of stillness and vast Karoo beauty. And to top it all off, Heleen and her husband are exceptionally kind and welcoming. We will definitely return, this was an unforgettable experience!

Eine wunderschöne, moderne Unterkunft die zum entspannen einlädt und dazu sehr liebe und hilfsbereite Hosts. Wir sind im Dunkeln erst bei der Unterkunft angekommen, daher war das finden etwas schwierig wenn man das erste mal dort hin Fährt, daher etwas weniger Sterne, aber eigentlich trotzdem volle Sterne weil sich sehr bemüht wurde uns zu helfen und die Kommunikation toll ist. Wer also mal entspannen will und wert auf tolle Atmosphäre und moderne Einrichtung legt, fühlt sich dort sehr wohl! Sehr empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank auch an dieser Stelle an die Hosts. 🫶🏻✨
