Have stayed in Southerness many times but this is the first time staying in an airbnb and won't be the last. Lovely property close to all amenities.

Lovely accommodation. Great view. Spotlessly clean. Everything needed was provided for a relaxing stay by the sea. Perfect location. My dog was very happy with the green space and fresh air. Plenty of room. Full size kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay at Powfoot over Christmas. Carolyn had very kindly put up lights and a Christmas tree for us which was extra special - thank you. Excellent instructions and detailed information about the house and the surrounding area. Also to highlight to take care on the mud flats when the tide is coming in. We enjoyed visits to Mabie Forest, Drumlanrig and Caerlaverock castles all recommended even on an atmospheric (wet!) December day!

The flat is described in the listing as basic, I think, but I wouldn't describe it as such. The flat feels new and smart, it is furnished and equipped to a comfortable standard and is decorated simply but tastefully with attractive macrame wall hangings and pictures and there are lovely plants. We also liked the design of the crockery :0) The things that make it 'basic' are not having a TV or WiFi, I suppose, but other than that, which the owner was very upfront about, we found it to be superior to other places that we've stayed at in the area which cost more. The views, onto adjacent buildings and roofs, aren't great and many places in Morecambe come with a sea view which is lovely, but the prom is just a minute's walk away to enjoy. There are pizza restaurants just seconds away and all the shops on the front and a bus stop less than a minute away, so the location is fantastic. It's a good place to stay and quite a bargain! Thoroughly recommend it.

A wonderful Cottage - clean, spacious, comfortable. Very helpful hosts with clear instructions and attention to detail. Wonderful views of Pele Tower to the front and the sea to the back. The local beach is a few steps away and is beautiful. Overall a superb Airbnb and very dog friendly.

Lovely place to unwind and relax. If you want to stay in one place and appreciate the sea and the accommodation then this is your place.

We had an amazing time. The accomodation was right on the beach and the use of the Summer house and Hot tub was a wonderful addition. We did plenty of walking and found the guest manual very useful for recommendations around the area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need, as were the bathrooms and bedrooms. Susan's instructions for check in were very helpful, and we knew she was there throughout our stay if we needed anything. We would definitely return in the future. Thanks for such a great stay!

Best spot on the park - couldn’t get any closer to the lake. Accommodation amazingly clean and well kept. Comfortable beds and great showers. Kitchen well equipped although didn’t do any cooking during our stay. Can’t fault the accommodation and location although we were not impressed with the service at the Park Dean resort. There was an internet problem when we were there which affected outside the park too. Not an issue - these things happen but there was not a single sign at reception, at the restaurant tables, at the bar. Not one member of staff mentioned it as we spent 15 minutes trying to use the QR code to order food, spent 10 minutes queuing to order at the bar to be told cash only. Had to go back to the lodge for our wallet only to find out the cash machine in reception had no cash in it. Complete waste of time which a simple sign could have prevented. We went into town and had an amazing Italians instead.

Thank you for the stay - we had a lovely time. Only thing to mention is the heating was a bit tricky (wouldn’t come on at all the second day). Otherwise, stay was lovely and the caravan was spotless and came with everything we needed. No WiFi (as far as I know) and limited phone signal but this is what we were looking for so no issues.

Myself, Mum and 5 year old son just stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely break! David is a responsive and thoughtful host, replying quickly, arranging for the heating to be on for arrival and even leaving lovely treats for us to enjoy! The place is absolutely spotless, super clean and well organised, it has everything you'd need for a short stay. Would definitely recommend! We ventured to Cresswell Beach and White House Farm in Morpeth which is a must if you have little ones. Lovely memories made... as well as some sand castles!

We had a lovely short break over the new year, the lodge was very homely and had everything you need. It was very clean and tidy and had a great view of the lake which was right outside. Vanessa was very helpful and was always available and had great knowledge of the area. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Fantastic stay, a lovely spacious static. Stayed for 4 nights during New Year so was very cold and windy outside. Loved being inside, heating was very good. It’s exactly what you would want. Location is great and just 10 minute drive away from anything you may need or want to do. We will be back!!

What a beautiful view of the sea, caravan was lovely. Bed was so comfy, the location was great, nice and quiet. Will definitely recommend.

Lovely home in the lakes with a fabulous view over Windermere.

One of the best bnb I stayed so far. Beautiful surroundings. Great view. Neat and clean. Walkable distance to the local stores and pubs. Chirs is so friendly and responsive. 💯 recommended to all who wish to have some good time with wonderful views.

What a truly amazing place to visit, and a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend it for a quiet getaway, truly stunning views and beautiful. Perfect if you want to switch off. Loved every minute and we will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend Gillian’s beautiful home highly enough, my partner and I booked it as a very last minute trip for new year with our two kids and it was just brilliant. Even in the typical Scottish weather the views were lovely and when the sun was shining it was stunning. The home has everything in it that you could possibly need and is so cosy and beautifully decorated. The beds were so comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The kitchen was really well equipped and was spacious enough to cook as well as being a social area. We decided to book again as soon as we’d arrived! Thank you Gillian x

beautiful little cottage, in a good location. The host was also lovely also, met briefly at the start of my stay and was very helpful and was there if I did ever need anything. would 100% recommend staying here

It was a great home to make our base to the Lakes. Windermere is about 45 mins drive. the house had more bedroom than we expected, decent kitchen, 3 bathrooms and local superstores about 4 minutes drive. Free on street parking may not be found always outside the house but never more than a minute's walk away. the small patio at the back was nice right outside the kitchen. Definately good value for money!

West view Beach House is a beautiful holiday home. Based in a beautiful, tranquil peaceful setting. The sea views from the main living room and bedrooms are stunning. Really enjoyed lighting the log burner of an evening whilst listening to the sound of the sea at the same time - bliss. Wonderful space outside on the decking with plenty of seating whilst admiring the views. The house was very clean and tidy, lovely decor and the hosts Danielle and Greg on hand if required. It was nice to see a welcome food box in the kitchen upon arrival, nice touch. My dogs were so relaxed and content , and I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be booking again very soon. Thank you

We found this house by Amanda on Airbnb at St. Beach, and it truly made our vacation this year unforgettable. It's definitely much better than the pictures and description suggest. A peaceful, small, and clean house, just a two-minute walk from the beach, with lush green hills and a restaurant for breakfast right in front. Just an hour's drive to many other Lake District towns. This is an ideal place to refresh your spirit. I would love to come back here again and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you so much, Amanda; I highly recommend your house!

Our second stay here at Jodie’s flat overlooking Morecambe Bay. It was a dreadful weekend weather wise (with Storm Darragh raging outside !) but the flat was very cosy and warm and we still managed to get out and about with my family who we were visiting. The property has everything you need and is exactly as described, is also much bigger than it looks in the photos. I look forward to coming back again next year.
