Stayed here for a few days on a work trip and it was just as described. Great restaurants close by and the house was perfect.

Great location! We were able to boat to both Trident and Duncan Bridge Marinas. The views were gorgeous. Very quiet and peaceful. The house was clean and perfect for 6 adults (3 couples). Of note there were only 2.5 baths not 3.5 as listed. The two queen rooms share a Jack n’ Jill bathroom.

This was an incredible experience! This place is especially perfect for couples, no matter the occasion. I would definitely recommend it for an anniversary or even a honeymoon. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and unique. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the entire stay felt like a bucket list experience I didn’t even know I needed. Again, the scenery is beyond beautiful—peaceful, serene, and the perfect escape. We especially loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings, and one of the highlights was making pizza from scratch on a pizza stone using the gas grill provided by the hosts. Everything was just perfect—truly a 10,000 out of 10 experience! Whether you’re someone who’s seasoned at off-the-grid living or it’s your first time trying something like this, this place is a gem. It’s the kind of stay that meets you where you are and gives you exactly what you didn’t know you needed. Highly, highly recommend! 10 out of 10—highly recommend!

Visited for the first time last weekend and we loved it so much we booked it again for the next weekend. The home and area are just beautiful. It’s so peaceful!! We would go every weekend if we could.

We absolutely loved the place and it was a wonderful week for our vacation! Stephanie was responsive and so kind! This is a great place and great location and very clean and beautiful! Beautiful, super clean place. Appreciate the respect/save natural resources concept - cloth rather than paper towels, etc French press coffee a nice touch- thank you ; will recommend to any one going to Birmingham for a visit.

We liked the overall experience- peaceful location, in front of the beautiful lake, comfortable rooms. Perfect place for groups to get together.

Amazing stay in the Trottage! Perfect for a weekend at the lake with our two young children. Plenty to do and very relaxing with amazing lake access and views! We will definitely be back!
