Klondyke is just a short drive from the farm and a lovely family outing during November & December.
Klondyke Farm, which grows pears and apples too, is where you can go cherry-picking to your heart’s delight. After paying a R30 entrance fee per person (free for children under five years), you will receive a container, which you may fill to the brim with delicious ruby-tinged beauties. Make a day of it by packing a picnic, or bringing along meat to braai – enjoying the “fruits of your labour” under the cool shade of a pine tree. It gets pretty windy down Ceres way, so remember to bring a warm jersey or windbreaker. When Daily, 8.30am – 4pm (from the end-November to the first week of January) Cost R30 (adult) R15 (children under 10) Location Klondyke Cherry Farm, R46, Ceres
